Demo has started!

Well, as Rob said to me in the car as we drove away from the house (after taking these pictures) - "Honey, there's no turning back now!".

The house should be gutted by mid week and hopefully they can start digging the basement out!

It's finally ours!!!

After an insane buying process, we finally own our home! yay! Here are some pictures of the house...please keep in mind that we are completely gutting the entire house - down to the brick and studs. NOTHING is staying (well except the entire front of the house - that's in great condition!).

The basement has its own entrance, but right now it is covered up.

Our parking pad! We have parking!!!!!!!

The basement - we are looking to dig out - right now it is only about 6ft.

The smallest bathroom in Canton.

Rob is standing in what will be our master bedroom.

As you can tell, there is a LOT of work that needs to be done.
We are excited to share our story with you!

t minus 1 week to closing

Rob and I are buying a house and this blog will help our family and friends keep updated on the status of our adventure together! Thankfully, we have a great friend who is also a great contractor and he will be doing all of the work. Thank you Kevin and Do It Right Construction!

Well we have about a week to go before we close on our future home. We are absolutely ecstatic and petrified at the same time about starting this new adventure together - I think we are less scared about marriage than we are about the house! Our wedding is scheduled for this July, so we are hoping that construction will be finished shortly after the wedding!

The one thing that i'm stressing out about most recently, is where to put all of the snow so we can get a dumpster on the street and start the demolition process?!?!?!

Look for pictures of the new place after closing :)
