Dug out and waiting!

So the basement is dug out! Yay! Rob even went to the house to put our stamp on the back entrance :)
Now we are just waiting on zoning so the back wall of the 2nd floor can be bumped out and we can add the guest bedroom. Enjoy the pics!

So this is the basement bathroom - the shower will go where the white plug is - to the right of the plug will be where the water heater and furnace will be. On the back wall will be the toilet and the sink.
Crazy, but that is how much they dug out. 2 feet!

This is the exposed brick that will be in the bedroom.

This is my laundry room on the 2nd floor. Love it!

uhhh...

Sorry about the lack of posts everyone...but the basement has taken longer than expected. Lots of rain and waiting on neighbors have prolonged the basement dig. Hopefully we will be ready to roll soon!

But for your entertainment purposes, i've attached the following 2 videos...

It's crazy, but there is something done in the house already! Yay!

Demo is almost done

Here's the latest on the demo...almost all done!

Our new open staircase :) All of the wood paneling is gone! Oh, and all of the spots on the camera - actually dust.

This is wallpaper that has fake green brick on it. Kevin said it was the original backsplash for the stove. Apparently real bricks didn't look as good as fake green ones.
Steps leading into the basement.

The front bedroom which will be the master bedroom.

The steps will be moved towards the back of the house a shade, the tread needs to be longer and they need to be a bit wider.

Kevin counted 11 sheets of wallpaper in the bathroom.

And yes, this is a pink bear riding a blue rocketship. I tried to cut it out of the wall, but it wanted to stay and die in the house with the rest of the awful wall coverings.

The master bedroom with the sloped ceiling (we are keeping it sloped).

Our roof access...until the rooftop deck goes in!

Our skylight - which will remain (not the original, but one similar).

Hopefully the basement start soon. Now comes some of our first choices on the house...our front door (wood with 4 windows at the top) and windows (wood with black trim, for the tax credit...).
As the progress in the house moves along, i'm starting to realize the closer it is to the wedding...I need to get more prepared!!!
